Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our Strategic Development Program (SDP) at EMCO Corporation.

As a Business Development Trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our company, developing the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a variety of roles.

The SDP is a full-time entry-level position that provides hands-on training, guidance, and support to help you achieve your career goals.

You will work collaboratively in a team environment, developing strong relationships with colleagues and customers.

Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to rotate through different phases, including Warehouse Logistics, Operations, Inside Sales/Project Management, and Outside Sales/Account Management.

By the end of the program, you will have gained a comprehensive understanding of our business and be well-prepared to pursue a career in sales, management, operations, or customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Phase 1 – Warehouse Logistics

Learn the products we sell and how they get from the vendor to the customer, and understand the role of sales support.

Phase 2 – Operations

Get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.

Phase 3 – Inside Sales/Project Management

Go from helping customers with various customer service issues to managing large-scale projects.

Phase 4 – Outside Sales/Account Management

Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.

Phase 5

Determine your ideal career path and take all of your training to pursue a successful career at EMCO Corporation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Work well in and support a team-based environment
  • Work well with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and the internet
  • Valid Driver's license with clean abstract
