About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and treatment options.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism principles.
