Nurse Practitioner

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions, and initiating treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnosing and treating undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within your scope of practice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including writing orders for treatment and medications, and providing first-line care in emergencies.
- Monitor patient progress, order screening diagnostic investigations, and interpret reports to inform treatment decisions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose patient status, and develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications within statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions, and employer policies and procedures.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of other nursing and healthcare personnel, and provide education and guidance as needed.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice.
- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to critically assess and evaluate health research literature to inform best practices.
- Ability to lead and work within a team, and to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
