Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at StandardAero Limited in Winnipeg. As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day break/fix work on machines and equipment.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to support our maintenance team with troubleshooting and repair work, equipment movement & assembly, and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dismantling, assembly, installation, and commissioning of facility and operations equipment and machines
  • Troubleshoot to identify problems and adjust or repair equipment according to specifications or best maintenance practices to maximize equipment uptime
  • Use machines, tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, plant equipment, and consumables necessary to carry out the required tasks
  • Effectively engaged across a wide array of maintenance challenges that utilize multiple skills and resources; enlist the appropriate help when required
  • Document the modification status and configuration of equipment under repair or preventative maintenance; maintain detailed repair, maintenance, and certification records and reports of work performed
  • Interpret technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and relevant manuals/references to identify required repairs, recommended maintenance activities, etc.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance work in conjunction with Operators and Production managers
  • Perform assessments to determine required equipment, parts, or materials needed to complete repair or improvement work
  • Ensure that buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly condition in accordance with health & safety, building, and fire regulations
  • Cross-train in other complementary skills and seek endorsements for those skills as needed to support maintenance team requirements
  • Ensure all applicable health & safety requirements are followed and report/addresses any unsafe practices/conditions immediately
  • Carry out additional projects and assignments as required
Requirements
  • Holds, or is working towards an industrial mechanic (millwright) certification
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, complex production equipment, facility systems, hydraulics & pneumatics, and control systems
  • Ability to dismantle, repair, & assemble machines and equipment, building envelope systems, etc.
  • Several years' job-related training/experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics, drawings, installation/operation manuals, support information, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software utilized for maintenance activities
  • Required shift is M-F 7:30-4:00pm, however, shift may change due to business demands
  • Available to work 'on-call' for facilities and equipment maintenance issues as per schedule

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
