Internal Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Specialist to join our team at Colas Western Canada Inc. as a key player in transforming internal and external communications for the company.
This role will play a vital part in driving employee engagement, brand awareness, and establishing an operational communications plan that aligns with the company's vision and values.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Colas Canada Communications team to develop and implement effective internal communications strategies, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for Western Canada.
- Manage the company's communication channels, including Sharepoint, digital displays, and email communication tools, to enhance ongoing enhancements and long-term strategy.
- Lead media relations activities, manage social media accounts, website design, and develop an increased online presence to inform the public of Colas Western Canada Inc.'s practices and values while building our brand reputation.
- Provide information, advice, and hands-on assistance to promote best practices in communications planning and implementation.
- Serve as a communications advisor to leaders at all levels of the company, understanding the dynamics of internal and external communications.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree or Post-Graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 5+ years of internal communications experience.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Demonstrated capability to manage confidential information and sensitive materials with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Strong computer skills, photo, video/audio editing, and publishing skills.
- Significant experience managing and utilizing internal communication tools.
- Exceptional writing/editing, presentation, and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work independently with a diverse and sometimes remote team.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $90,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including Health, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance, and a company-sponsored pension plan.
