About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Tucows Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the design, development, and maintenance of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
  • Advise junior software engineers and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Build tools for automating deployment, monitoring, and operations of the overall stack.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide application support, incident management, and solve problems.
  • Collaborate in a remote-first environment and share knowledge with junior team members.
  • Own projects or features from conception to release, balancing the need to ship code quickly with the need to make sound technical decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • ~5+ years of professional experience in a software engineering environment.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Linux.
  • Experience working in an agile environment and exposure to multiple programming languages.
  • Background in private cloud (OpenStack) or AWS.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive base salary range of $121,200 - $136,400 USD for US residents or $105,000 - $118,200 CAD for Canadian residents.
