Business Unit Manager

Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to manage a large portfolio of retail client accounts and provide senior technical and operational support to the account staff for the development of policies and procedures pertaining to all types of buildings managed by CBRE Group, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the financial performance of the business unit in an account.
- Provides recommendations for tactical and strategic planning to drive business growth.
- Assists in acquisition underwriting and due diligence to ensure successful transactions.
- Responsible for new business development, including identification of opportunities, client solicitation, proposal development, and presentation.
- Supervises the planning, budgeting, and control of operating and capital expenditures to optimize resource allocation.
- Oversees and approves the calculation of all special billings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervises the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, management plans, monthly performance reports, and variance reports to inform business decisions.
- Ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and complete reports to stakeholders.
- Performs regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Recommends and directs alterations, maintenance, and reconditioning of properties as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Assists clients with recommendations and implementation to digitally transform properties and stay ahead of future business requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department within CBRE Group, Inc. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
