Heritage Building Design Engineer

As a civil engineer with a passion for preserving architectural heritage, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects that contribute to the conservation of cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct structural assessments and analyses of heritage buildings.
- Develop restoration and rehabilitation plans taking into account historical and architectural features.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate customer needs and regulatory requirements into project design.
- Prepare technical reports and tender documents.
- Design components for various structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
- Perform calculations using specialized software, conduct expert assessments, and supervise asset maintenance work on existing buildings.
- Participate in project management, scheduling, and budgeting in collaboration with project managers and directors.
- Design technical solutions adapted to the specific challenges of each heritage project.
- Work with local authorities and conservation organizations to obtain necessary permits.
- University degree in civil or building engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years' relevant experience in building structure design and site inspection.
- Keen interest in developing skills in heritage building project design and management.
- Proficiency in ETABS, ADA, and SAFE software.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
