Mining Performance Solutions Analyst

Toromont Cat is seeking a highly skilled Mining Performance Solutions Analyst to support the Mining fleet through maintenance, operations, and parts teams by focusing on continuous improvement projects. As a liaison between the customer and Toromont, this role will ensure seamless product support issues resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate customer fleet availability and maintenance costs versus performance benchmarks, providing recommendations to reduce operating costs of Cat equipment.
  • Collaborate with the corporate mining division team to identify and develop recommended action plans for enhancing parts & service delivery to customers.
  • Work directly with Toromont and customer site teams to implement recommendations and support the enhancement of parts & service delivery.
  • Monitor and adjust recommended component replacement and change-out periods based on condition monitoring, maintenance practices, SOS results, and machine application.
  • Produce monthly fleet performance reports for customer sites, summarizing maintenance KPIs, parts delivery, Toromont cost-reducing initiatives, and fleet operational performance.
  • Work with the mining technical communicator to monitor product problems, document machine modifications, ensure compliance with customer and government laws and regulations, and develop operator and maintenance training programs.
  • Track and trend wear products such as GET, Buckets, Undercarriage, and make recommendations on product types based on application and wear trends.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with a technical focus or an applicable Technician Licence.
  • Mechanical expertise with knowledge of basic equipment systems and the underground mining process.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites as required in a rotation position.
