Job Title: Fixed Cost Analyst

Job Summary:

The Fixed Cost Analyst will be responsible for performing financial analyses, including forecasting and variance explanations, contributing to the development of annual business plans, and providing key support to Sales & Marketing operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing financial analyses, including forecasting and variance explanations
  • Contributing toward the development of annual business plans
  • Providing key support to Sales & Marketing operations teams
  • Professionally and productively liaising with various Canadian and US groups
  • Working on innovation and process improvements
  • Handling special projects, as appropriate, in support of corporate objectives
  • Developing presentations
  • Completing various month end accounting duties, including assisting with booking of journal entries, reporting on actuals, and completing various reporting under time constraints
  • Supporting Internal Controls, and all associated programs and activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • Minimum ONE (1) year of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight time constraints
  • Solid interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work productively as a member of cross-functional teams
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CPA designation preferred
  • SAP accounting systems experience is considered an asset
  • Some flexibility in work schedule to meet internal deadlines
  • Willingness to eventually consider possible rotation into US-based positions
