Youth Development Consultant

Job Description
In this role, you will provide assessment, consultation, and collaborative strategies to families and support staff supporting a child living with a disability. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and progress of tailored service plans that meet the expectations of funders, agencies, and families. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to families in their natural environment, such as home or community settings, through assessments and individualized therapy.
- Recommending and coaching families and support staff to implement and utilize adaptive equipment that assists with daily living and facilitates independence.
- Providing group coaching and information sessions to the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Active registration and practice permit (in good standing) with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
- A valid driver's license, an insured/reliable vehicle, and comfort with traveling in-town/out-of-town to schools, in-home, or community settings.
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of children and youth with autism spectrum disorder, motor development conditions, developmental delays, or other developmental disorders is considered an asset.
