We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Cafe Dorothy. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff on new recipes, techniques, and equipment.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure that products meet established standards.
- Maintenance and Operations: Operate machinery, maintain inventory, and perform other tasks as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
