About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Atlantic Contracting Group Inc. as a Bricklayer and Mason. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units to construct buildings, walls, and other structures.
  • Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing for buildings and other structures.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units, such as patios, garden walls, and decorative installations.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete masonry tasks.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on masonry techniques and best practices.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
  • Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their integrity and appearance.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in masonry work.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
