Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Designer at Roteq Machinery, you will be responsible for the development of cable manufacturing machinery. This involves working with cross-functional engineering and production teams to design, develop, and improve cable manufacturing systems. Your tasks will include mechanical design, technical calculations, component design, and creation of project documentation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development of industrial equipment. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you should be proficient in 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks PDM and have experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the cable manufacturing industry or with similar rotary equipment is preferred. You should also have knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles and engineering documentation control principles. Hands-on experience with the assembly of industrial machinery and machine shop operations is also an asset.
