Job Summary:

UPS is seeking Early Morning Ground Handlers (Ramp Agents) for our Vancouver Air Gateway Operations. As a Ground Handler, you will work outside on the ramp around the UPS aircraft, loading air containers and packages onto the plane, operating ground equipment, and marshalling and directing planes in or out of parking positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load air containers and packages onto the UPS plane
  • Operate ground equipment
  • Marshall and direct plane in or out of parking position
  • Remove safety equipment around the UPS plane and assist with next day set up

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Permanent shift: Tuesday to Saturday
  • Commit to work in an early-morning shift, five days per week (4:00AM - 9:00AM)
  • Shifts cannot be adjusted to fit within 20 hours per week
  • Must have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's license (you will operate ramp vehicles/equipment)
  • Must have a recent and clean drivers abstract
  • Must be available to work 5 days a week
  • Must be able to lift up to 70-lbs
  • No experience necessary - on the job training provided
  • Safety shoes/boots
  • Must enjoy working outdoors - where the majority of your shift will be spent
  • Extended Background Checks will be required;
