Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Production Manager to lead our animation production team at Reel FX Creative Studios.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our animation production, including crew scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring that production goals are met within schedule parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Producer in developing a comprehensive production budget and strategy.
  • Maintain overall production schedules and manage departmental quotas.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements, particularly in scheduling, resource management, and information flow.
  • Provide weekly production update reports to the Producer.
  • Promote open communication among crew members, staff, departments, and Production Management personnel.
  • Manage production crew lists, approve artist time sheets, and facilitate daily interaction with clients on production-related needs and deliveries.
  • Oversee production-related purchase orders, invoices, and expenses, and update financial forecasts weekly.
  • Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements:
  • DEC or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in traditional 2D and/or 3D animation production.
  • Accomplished Production Manager, Associate Production Manager, and/or Production Coordinator experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of production and animation processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suites, including Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and scheduling software.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and editing film/television/animation budgets.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on location and experience.
