Job Title: Application Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Application Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As an Application Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering complex, enterprise-scale mobile projects involving multiple back-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cost-effective and innovative solutions for mobile applications
  • Lead the planning and strategy for technical design, development, and integration of applications
  • Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank's vision, strategy, and business goals
  • Act as the mobile development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team
Requirements:
  • Experience in application development in Java, Applications Support, Unix/Linux, Java Enterprise Edition, JBoss Application Server, Linux, Microsoft.NET Platform, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, Software Delivery, Software Development, Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Ability to guide junior developers through extensive experience
  • Flexibility to program in Java as well as Microsoft Technologies
  • Ability to decipher code for existing critical applications and rapidly ramp up to support
