Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and spiritually gifted individual to serve as our Children Ministry Pastor/Director. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to the spiritual well-being of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Vision
    • Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Children Ministry Elder to cast a clear vision for the Children Ministry.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the spiritual well-being of children and their families.
  • Program Development and Administration
    • Oversee the planning, administration, and coordination of all programs, events, and activities under the Children Ministry.
    • Recruit and train lay leaders to assist in all areas of the Children Ministry.
  • Community Outreach and Partnerships
    • Develop and implement children outreach activities in conjunction with the congregational Local Evangelism Deacons.
    • Partner with parents and families to bring up children with Christian values and disciplines.
  • Pastoral Care and Support
    • Provide pastoral care for children, their families, and all Children Ministry workers through visitation and counseling.
    • Participate in domestic and overseas missions as agreed by the Senior Pastor and approved by the Board of Elders.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Submit regular reports to the Children Ministry Board of Deacons and Board of Elders.
    • Participate in the budgeting process with the Children Ministry Board of Elders.
Requirements
  • A vibrant personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • A call to Children Ministry from God.
  • High integrity and spiritual discernment.
  • Good command of English verbal and written.
  • Preferably capable of communicating in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
  • Appreciate the cultural diversity of our congregations.
  • Fulfilled the academic requirements set by the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.
  • Preferably obtained a degree from an accredited evangelical seminary.
  • At least three years' relevant experience in children work in a church setting, preferably in North America.
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments.
  • Self-motivated and has a desire for further training and personal growth.
  • Committed to the ministry philosophy and programs of WCCAC.
