About the Role

The Strategic Initiatives and Innovations Lead will work closely with key partners internally and within the province to lead strategic initiatives and innovations tied directly to PLS's strategic priorities. This role will assist with identified projects, propose new initiatives, and contribute to all aspects of strategic priorities, including the development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that support language access and equity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic initiatives and innovations tied directly to PLS's strategic priorities
  • Assist with identified projects and propose new initiatives
  • Contribute to all aspects of strategic priorities, including development, integration, implementation, and evaluation
  • Research and propose innovative tools and technologies to assist with language access and delivery for language communities
  • Provide leadership and expertise on a range of projects of varying size and scope related to strategic priorities
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in strategic planning and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or a related field and a minimum of five years of recent related experience in strategic systems and large-scale change work in equity and access related fields.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultural safety and humility within health services contexts and have completed training in Indigenous cultural safety and trauma-informed practice. They will also have demonstrated extensive knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts, supported by significant knowledge of Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
