Calgary-based opportunity for a seasoned Network Engineer Specialist.

Salary: CAD $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

About the Role

CQ Search Group Ltd. is seeking an accomplished Network Engineer to join our client's hybrid remote team in Calgary or surrounding areas.

This 3-year contract will see you play a pivotal role in the operational team, focusing on evergreening and operational support.

  • Resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in testing related to production deployment validation, performance, failover, and vulnerabilities remediation, and disaster recovery.
  • Analyze current solutions environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for simplification.

You will define and implement required upgrades and changes to address operational problems or new business requirements, while supporting problem troubleshooting in both Prod and non-prod environments.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in testing, operation, development, integration in network management environments.
  • Minimum of five years' experience with network equipment, specifically with Cisco switching and routing platforms (Cisco 9K, 9300s, 6508, and APIC).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT Operations work, including operational capabilities and typical challenges of IT Operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate with the development process from idea to implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience with scalable and highly available service-oriented architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Agile methodology.
Bonus Requirements

The following skills will also be considered:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with Cisco NCS 5500.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated experience working with F5 Load balancers.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Cisco ASA and/or Firepower Technologies.
