About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Analyst to join our team at Magna International Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of inventory listed in our CMI system, including follow-ups to resolve discrepancies between physical inventory confirmations and the system.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics. They will be responsible for expediting purchased components, packaging items, and subcontracted items to support production requirements, as well as reviewing and auditing supplier releases on a daily basis.

The Material Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials are delivered on time, with the correct quantities to support production, and will follow up on any potential risks due to past due conditions. They will work closely with suppliers, the receiving department, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of materials.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supply chain management, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity of inventory listed in CMI, including follow-ups to resolve discrepancies
  • Expediting purchased components, packaging items, and subcontracted items to support production requirements
  • Review and audit supplier releases on a daily basis
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials, with the correct quantities to support production
  • Follow up on potential risks due to past due conditions
  • Work closely with suppliers, the receiving department, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of materials
Requirements
  • College diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in automotive manufacturing environment
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy in MRP/ERP scheduling systems, purchasing systems, and cycle-count systems
  • Familiarity with computer routings and Bills of Material
  • Lean Manufacturing exposure
  • Ability to function well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
