About the Role

Lululemon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our Product Innovation team. As a key contributor to our Science of Feel initiative, you will be responsible for leading human performance and perception testing to drive actionable feedback into our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prioritize and scope work, optimizing impact across our product portfolio.
  • Conduct hands-on testing in our lab, working with real products and people to validate technical performance and elevated perceptual experience.
  • Develop hypotheses and experimental protocols to enable lululemon to validate technical products with performance and elevated perceptual experience.
  • Support product feedback by incorporating elite athletes and ambassadors into human performance testing and product validation.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Sports Science, Sports Technology, or similar.
  • MSc/PhD preferred or equivalent depth of experience demonstrated in applied research environment, e.g. high performance sport.
  • 3+ years experience in fast-paced corporate environments with athletic products and/or human performance.
  • Experience in mentoring applied researchers and interns.
  • Strength in communication and listening with cross-functional partners from different expertises, e.g. Design, Development, Fits, Product education, Elite athletes, external research partners.
  • Based in Vancouver, CA, some travel required.

Workplace Arrangement

This role is classified as hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy. In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
