Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates. They will also write technical reports, estimate costs and materials, and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to communicate ideas and concepts.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Write technical reports to document project progress and results.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience in drafting and design is an asset.
  • AutoCAD Certification and Drafting Trade Certification are required.
  • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an interior environment with a fast-paced work environment and tight deadlines. They will be required to sit for extended periods and have excellent attention to detail.
