Job Title: Asset Superintendent

At Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources Department, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering strategic orientations, programs, and plans to maintain and enhance our company culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support the achievement of our division's strategic plan.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of all Human Resources and Training activities for the Hope Bay Project.
  • Define objectives and metrics for the Human Resources Department, ensuring alignment with our company's strategic plan.
  • Hold accountability for the achievement of the Human Resources Department's objectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members and management teams on the importance of our company culture and labor relation management considerations in Nunavut.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and reporting agencies, as well as legal compliance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations covering the human resources field.
  • Promote the transmission of our organizational culture by providing mentoring, coaching, and feedback to growing teams and senior business partners.
  • Overview, monitor, and control the operating budget of each area under your supervision.
  • Contribute to strategic staffing activities, recruitment, and development of the workforce.
  • Ability to serve as a knowledgeable and trusted resource to senior management.
  • Lead initiatives for equal opportunity employment and diversity in relation to the local workforce, women, and visible minorities.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • ~8-10 years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • ~Experience in the mining industry is considered an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
