K V DRYWALL & TAPING LTD is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to size, and applying successive coats of compound to smooth out seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets, ensuring a smooth and even surface
  • Cut and fit drywall sheets to size, using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Apply successive coats of compound to smooth out seams and joints, using a trowel and broad knife
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound, using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, ensuring a smooth and even finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, ensuring a strong and durable bond
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina, be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and be comfortable working at heights.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
