Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum


Job Description:


As a Culinary Team Member at The Story Cafe - Eatery & Bar, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your primary responsibilities will include determining the size of food portions and costs, planning menus and estimating food requirements, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Setting: Restaurant, Café
  • Tasks:

    • Determine the size of food portions and costs
    • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
    • Order supplies and equipment
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
    • Clean kitchen and work areas


Transportation/Travel Information:


You will need to have your own transportation to commute to work.


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:


This role requires you to be able to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
