Job Title: Bilingual Occupational Health and Safety Administrator

Location: Ottawa, ON

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Occupational Health and Safety Administrator to join our team at Commissionaires Canada in Ottawa, ON.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Health and Safety Manager, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager, including compiling and tracking reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of health and safety programs and policies.
  3. Conduct site inspections and investigations as required.
  4. Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  5. Provide training and support to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a must.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or related program.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety management systems and legislation.
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance.
