About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Lrostaffing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to managers and supervisors in responding to safety concerns, hazards, or infractions and implementing corrective action if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a first point of contact for all Health and Safety inquiries.
  2. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors in responding to safety concerns, hazards, or infractions and implement corrective action if required.
  3. Assist the Manager in implementing compliance updates.
  4. Develop, manage, and administer the Health and Safety Program in collaboration with Health and Safety Committees as required.
  5. Work closely with supervisors and joint health and safety committees to ensure prompt investigation of all accident/incident reports, and that recommendations for corrective actions are appropriately and consistently put into effect.
  6. Assist with the accident and injury reporting system and management system for workers compensation as required by law.
  7. Maintain claims management records and reports.
  8. Identify health and safety training requirements, making recommendations to the Manager.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in Occupational Health and Safety. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Fluent bilingualism in English and French.
  2. At least 2 years of related experience in a relevant Occupational Health and Safety position.
  3. A diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  4. A valid driver's license.
  5. Working knowledge of Health and Safety Management Systems and demonstrated understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $70,000 to $82,500 dependent on experience. The role will require the successful candidate to work in office five days a week and offers free, onsite parking and flexible working hours.
