Job Title: Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Nurse to join our team at Stuart Lake Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assess and diagnose patients' medical conditions and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care Emergency Department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience
  • Completion of an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program or equivalent training and experience may be considered
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACL) for Emergency room
