Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counsellor to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a member of our laboratory team, you will provide critical information and technical support to clients, laboratory staff, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient specimens and coordinate out-of-province testing requests
  • Track specimens, results, and reports
  • Provide counselling and technical support to clients and healthcare providers
Requirements
  • Master of Science degree in Genetics or Master of Science/Master of Arts in Genetic Counselling
  • Board eligible or board certified by the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
  • Specialized knowledge of clinical genetics and laboratory molecular genetics, cytogenetics, and genomics
  • Excellent communication and counselling skills
