Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counsellor to join our laboratory team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert guidance and support to clients, laboratory staff, and healthcare providers in clinical genetics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage patient specimens and coordinate out-of-province testing requests
  • Track specimens, results, and reports with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide technical support and information to clients and healthcare providers
Requirements:
  • Master of Science degree in Genetics or Master of Science/Master of Arts in Genetic Counselling from a recognized program
  • Board eligible or certified by the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) and/or American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
  • Strong knowledge of clinical genetics, laboratory molecular genetics, cytogenetics, and genomics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, laboratory staff, and healthcare providers
