Responsibilities
  • Coordinate procurement activities related to production needs, working closely with the production team and engineering team.
  • Manage inventory levels of electronic components, materials, and production supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers for the purchase of computer equipment and licenses, ensuring top-quality components that meet cost and delivery deadlines.
  • Perform various planning and qualification functions for sources of supply, maintaining and optimizing the MRP provisioning system settings in MISys.
  • Participate in the negotiation and compliance of annual agreements with suppliers, assisting planning, quality, engineering, payables, and other teams to solve vendor issues.
  • Seek opportunities for cost reduction and inventory control, participating in various projects aimed at improving processes related to the supply chain.
  • Make all purchases (or rentals) for computer electronic equipment, software licenses, hardware, furniture, and office supplies, tracking orders until receipt.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • DEC in administration, logistics, supply chain management, and/or a combination of equivalent training and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position, with experience in purchasing electronic components and equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP, with strong teamwork skills and ability to interact easily with employees of all departments.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, with experience in a high-tech, telecommunications company (an asset).
