Job Title: RN Emergency

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Providence Health Care. As an RN Emergency, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role:

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current practicing registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse
  • Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care emergency department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience with an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills
