Concrete Finishing Specialist

BQ Construction inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team in a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials for quality and accuracy
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure optimal density
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
- Apply finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces to a high standard
- Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Own transportation and vehicle
- Be physically capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
- Attend to detail and work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a concrete finisher or in a related field
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
