Technician III

Job Summary

Moneris is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician III to join our team. As a Field Service Technician III, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our merchants. You will support our on-site operations by installing, troubleshooting, and replacing electronic devices at our merchants' locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues related to various equipment and peripherals, such as computers, printers, networks, point-of-sale systems, and cash registers.

• Analyze problems, formulate recommendations for root causes and corrective actions, and ensure merchant satisfaction with problem resolution.

• Install computers, printers, point-of-sale systems, and other electronic devices, as well as update software as required.

• Establish excellent relationships with our merchants by demonstrating professionalism (appearance, behavior, and attitude) at all times.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in electronics, information technology, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.

• Experience in testing and troubleshooting technical problems.

• Good manual dexterity and ability to handle small tools (hand and power tools).

• Possession of a valid ASP - Santé et sécurité générale sur les chantiers de construction card will be considered an asset.

• Basic knowledge of network cabling will be considered an asset.

• Be proactive in matters of health and safety.

• Ability to work occasionally in confined spaces (kneeling and/or overhead reaching).

• Knowledge of computers, general network management concepts, Internet, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

• Ability to communicate effectively with various individuals and manage calmly any situation, whether routine or urgent.

• Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedules are always communicated in advance).

• A valid provincial driver's license.

• Ability to communicate in French and English (read, spoken, written).
