Baycrest is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Professional, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments, care planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a diverse range of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Practice: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based treatment interventions to patients with complex geriatric, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Education and Training: Participate in the teaching and mentoring of physiotherapy and physiotherapy assistant students, promoting excellence in clinical practice and professional development.
- Program Development and Evaluation: Contribute to the development and implementation of systematic, evidence-based programs and services, in collaboration with inter-professional team members, volunteers, and the physiotherapy clinical team.
- Leadership and Supervision: Assign patient plans of care, provide direction, supervision, and monitoring of physiotherapy assistants, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff development.
- Licensure and Certification: Licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and membership or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (an asset).
- Experience and Skills: Experience working with geriatric populations with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment (preferred), and proficiency in computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
