Job Description

Job Title: Head of Supply Chain

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Supply Chain to join our team at Sandvik. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our supply chain operations, ensuring optimal customer service, product quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and Planning: Analyze and build up component-level forecasts based on sales forecasts.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and lead operations coordination according to strategy and execution of production and supply chain activities across the organization and with suppliers.
  • KPI Management: Follow up and improve business unit-level KPIs.
  • Supply Chain Execution: Execute supply chain strategy according to Sandvik strategy and processes.
  • Collaboration: Oversee new product readiness with the NPI Manager and facilitate communication between operations and engineering.
  • Leadership: Provide high-level production expectations to NPI in design reviews to ensure clean manufacturability of new products.
  • Trade Compliance: Ensure adherence to trade compliance rules.
  • RMA and Warranty: Manage RMA and warranty activities and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to team members, including opportunities for coaching and development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of management experience, coaching, mentoring, and training staff at all levels.
  • Supply Chain Experience: 5+ years' experience in supply chain management.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of Forecast Order Delivery process or other similar supply chain processes.
  • ERP and Software: Strong knowledge in ERP, MRP, PLM, and accounting software.
  • Process Manufacturing: In-depth knowledge of process manufacturing operations and logistics.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team building skills, and ability to motivate others.
