L3Harris Technologies is a leading aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers' mission-critical needs. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in the Product Integration, Validation, and Verification department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the verification and validation of naval communications systems for military and commercial applications. This includes testing design, planning, automating, and executing tests to deliver a product of the highest quality.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. They will work closely with embedded software designers, hardware designers, product owners, and stakeholders to execute test iterations, track/report results, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Interacting with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the product and testing objectives;
  • Participating in design review and ensuring design requirements are testable;
  • Defining test specifications covering low to complex system or integration functionalities;
  • Developing and documenting test plans, executing tests, and generating reports;
  • Defining and setting up the test and validation environment, including scripts development and potentially contacting vendors, asking for samples, and quotations;
  • Developing and running automated tests covering functionality and diagnostic requirements;
  • Communicating critical issues and status updates in a timely manner;
  • Debugging test failures and analyzing root causes;
  • Training individuals involved in verification and validation activities as needed.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, and experience with integration and test of military or commercial systems. They will also have knowledge of naval communication systems, resolution of technical issues arising during implementation, integration, and testing of systems and subsystem elements, and strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
