We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Ground Worker to join our team at Genics. As a Ground Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to ground maintenance and utility operations.
Key Responsibilities- Tool and Equipment Handling: Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
- Surveying Support: Hold stakes during surveying activities to ensure accurate measurements.
- Site Safety: Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assistance and Support: Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed by supervisors.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
As a Ground Worker, you will be working outdoors in rural areas, often in remote locations. You will be required to work in a variety of settings, including power utility areas, and may be required to travel to different locations.
Physical Demands- Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Weight Handling: You will be required to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Dependability: You must be dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Language: You must be proficient in English.
- Work Hours: You will be required to work 40 hours per week.
