About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Business Development Specialist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating and building relationships with referral networks to drive new mortgage business and increase our share of the home financing market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral networks, including real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other industry professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market conditions to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
