Job Title: Porter/Cleaner

Scandinavian Building Services is a family-owned and operated business with a long history of providing top-notch janitorial and building maintenance services to clients across Canada.

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter/Cleaner to join our team in Corner Brook, NL.

Shift Times: Monday to Friday, 6pm to 9:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, and production areas
  • Sweep and mop floors, vacuum floors, and perform window washing and buffing duties
  • Strip and wax floors, care for stone surfaces, and clean carpets and upholstery
  • Complete work to high quality standards and follow daily direction and work lists
  • Read and explain MSDS sheets as required

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with good physical health
  • Ability to bend, turn, stoop, stand, reach high and low, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for 3 to 8 hours per shift
  • Perform repetitive manual tasks on a daily basis and walk large areas of floor space
  • Able to maneuver large machinery successfully
