About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for formulating the company's future direction through input on the business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction and maintain in-depth relationships with all members of the management team.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounting, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury.

- Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company and legal issues affecting the industry.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Report financial results and risk issues to the board of directors.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
- Arrange for debt and equity financing.
- Invest funds.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, economics, or related analytical discipline.
- Have a Master's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
- Being a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation will be an asset.
- Have previous experience as a CFO with a scale-up stage company in the technology (or SaaS) space or have related transferable experience.
- Have prior experience as an advisor to key executives or a managing executive at an early-stage company.
- Have experience and success with raising investor funds, supporting the executive negotiation and due diligence committees through the company's Series B funding round and beyond.
- Experience working with boards of directors and governing bodies, with a strong understanding of governance principles.
- Have 10+ years of experience with progressively increased responsibility within a larger, more mature organization.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and 10+ years of practical experience using Excel to build and maintain financial models will benefit you in this role.
- Have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
