The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the safe, long-term management of Canada's used nuclear fuel. We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Officer to join our team in Toronto as part of our Regulatory Decision-Making (RDM) Project.

About the Role

This role requires strong analytical and deductive skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading and authoring regulatory deliverables, including the development of technical reports and plans for submission to regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement, and execute technical deliverables required for the RDM Project.
  2. Plan, schedule, and review reports and documents related to the RDM.
  3. Assist with the development and implementation of CNSC Nuclear Licence application documentation.
  4. Maintain positive interfaces with internal stakeholders/departments to manage technical aspects of the work.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Engineering or Science and minimum 6-8 years' relevant experience. Bilingualism is an asset, and experience with the technical and regulatory basis for radioactive waste disposal is considered desirable.
