Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at Lakeridge Health. As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in meeting the medication-related needs of oncology patients within our Durham Regional Cancer Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support systemic therapy distribution and dispensing retail pharmacy prescriptions and oncology clinical trial medications.
  • Maintain accurate records and drug profiles.
  • Provide drug information support to the oncology team and education to oncology patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists or eligible for licensure.
  • Experience in an oncology pharmacy is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of pharmacology, current best practice clinical guidelines, and ability to interpret lab values.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills in identifying and solving drug-related problems.
  • Excellent medication counseling skills.
