Medication Care Specialist

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Provide medication administration services to residents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of medication administration, including documentation of medication refusals and missed doses.
- Communication: Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure seamless communication and coordination of medication services.
- Medication Management: Restock medication carts, maintain medication inventory, and ensure compliance with medication storage and disposal procedures.
- Resident Care: Provide resident care services, including assistance with daily living activities and promoting resident independence and dignity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in medication administration and CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors and administering medications preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
