Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Landscape Labourer to join our team at Dicam Landscaping Inc. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and performing other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks as required.
  • Rake and collect refuse, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and apply insecticides and fungicides as needed.
  • Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and snow. The work environment will be fast-paced, with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
