Program Manager, Hardware Engineering

Wärtsilä Energy Storage & Optimization (ES&O) is a leading global energy storage optimizer. As a Program Manager, you will manage product development execution activities, including managing product development costs, schedules, program scope, risk, changes, documentation, status reporting, vendor relationships, and coordinating information with other stakeholders.

  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Office Suite, and JIRA/Asana for task tracking.
  • Good English communication skills (Mandarin a strong plus), be motivated, organized, self-sufficient, personable, curious, and able to complete tasks without strict oversight.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Product Management, and Supply Chain to launch the new product and feature releases.
  • In-depth understanding of the hardware development process for both electrical and mechanical design activities.
  • 5 or more years of program management experience in a product development organization.
  • Strong process management skills with experience managing multiple teams on simultaneous product development activities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree or training in Agile/Scrum is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrix environment without direct managerial control.
  • Good verbal and written English skills a must, Mandarin highly desirable.
