Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at BWX Technologies. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring all financial aspects of contracts, including project setup, budget changes, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage financial aspects of contracts, including project setup, budget changes, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers and follow up on accounts receivables.
  • Account for foreign exchange forward contracts as it relates to projects.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, financial reports, and variance analysis reports.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Legal, Engineering, Sales, Proposals, and Project Accounting.
  • Communicate with external parties, including customers, external auditors, and other accounting groups within the company.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in an accounting-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Accounting designation or enrollment in an accounting designation program would be an asset.
  • Advanced experience of spreadsheet applications, data manipulation techniques, vlookup, formulas, and macros.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Good relationship-building skills with a commitment to supporting a team.
