About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS Bread Scott 72 Centre. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Train staff and work collaboratively with the team to achieve production goals.
  • Operational Efficiency: Draw up production schedules and organize and maintain inventory to optimize efficiency.
Work Environment

The Baker will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
