Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Director to join our team at Liberty Mutual Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our external reporting efforts and drive financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve Branch profitability
  • Lead the Canadian Branches through the external audit of statutory financial statements
  • Monitor and implement procedures to ensure compliance with all Canadian and US legislative requirements
Requirements:
  • Designated CPA
  • Minimum 10 years of financial reporting and analytical experience, with at least 5 years of leadership experience
  • Proven experience in a senior financial reporting role within the insurance industry or related sector
